Team Funatix walks to supports Breast Cancer research

SEEING PINK?

On a beautiful Mothers Day morning we set out with thousands of other early risers on the 8km fund raising walk from Southbank for Breast Cancer research. Kelly and I have completed this walk for the past 5 years, but this year thanks to the support of keen family members we were able to make a 'team'. Yes, Team Funatix was born. And we weren't just chicks in pink, the boys were represented there as well. Husbands, sisters, children, we were all there.

It's a great event and fantastic to see so many people turn out for such a worthy cause. But this year it was even more than that for us because of the opportunity to do it as a group and enjoy this experience with our families as well. Team Funatix will definitely be back in the event next year and no doubt with a few more members.

  1. Great effort girls. Approx. 70,000 adults and children walked in various cities across Australia on the day. Look forward to doing the same next year. Love the top pic - I have it as my desk top image at school. Errol

  2. Well done girls, keep up the good work. It's good to know in my absence you are being proactive. Make sure you have a wine on me.

  3. I have impressed my year 12 Modern History class with my bright pink carry bag and soft pink water bottle. My comments on what the shape of the water bottle reminded me of had them in fits of laughter and the young female student teacher went bright red. The fun never ends.

  5. Hi Funatix, Thanks for asking us along on the Mothers Day walk. For once I felt out of place not wearing pink. Your family and friends were great fun on the day.I hope to see you next year with a bigger team from my company.
